Arrive at Cairns airport today and be greeted by an APT representative. Tranfer to your hotel and enjoy the rest of today at leisure to relax and settle in, or begin exploring Cairns.

Travel to the heart of the Great barrier Reef aboard a catamaran. Arrive at Marine World, a spacious pontoon with two decks, showers and change rooms. Enjoy a reef education presentation and view the tropical fish from the underwater observatory and the semi-submersible. For the more adventurous, follow a snorkelling trail and view the coral and sea life up close. Lunch on board is included.

From Cairns, board the Kuranda Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and enjoy amazing views as you glide just feet above the lush rainforest canopy to Kuranda and on to the Rainforestation Nature Park. Here you'll see an amazing performance by the Pamagirri Aboriginal Dancers. Then set out on an escorted Dreamtime Walk and later enjoy a ride in the Army Duck. Afterwards, visit the local wildlife park, where you might like to have your photo taken with a koala (own expense). Return to Cairns this afternoon aboard the Kuranda Scenic Railway, travelling back through the rainforest.

Today, 4* day guests transfer to the airport for their onward flight. 5 day guests join our adventure tour into the wilderness of Cape Tribulation. Journey to Port Douglas via the Captain Cook Highway. Explore the Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary on a tour through three different wildlife environments. After morning tea, enjoy a guided rainforest walk then cross the Daintree River by ferry into Daintree National Park. Enjoy a tropical buffet lunch at the Cape Tribulation Resort and Spa, then travel to Cape Tribulation Beach. There is time to take a stroll along the isolated sandy beaches or explore the rainforest in this World Heritage area- the only place in the world where two World Heritage areas meet. Stop at Alexandra Lookout for great views then take a Daintree River Cruise through the mangroves. Afternoon tea is served before your return to Port Douglas and Cairns.

After breakfast, enjoy a morning at your leisure in this vibrant city before transferring to Cairns airport for your onward journey.


* Extend Your Stay - Following day 4 touring, you can choose to stay overnight at Cape Tribulation giving a extra day to experience the majestic northern Queensland rainforest first hand. Take an interpretive rainforest walk, explore the cape coastline by 4WD, search for the reclusive estuarine crocodile on a Mangrove Discovery Cruise or see and hear the rainforest come alive on a guided nocturnal walk (own expense). Return to Cairns on Day 5 for an overnight stay before transferring to the airport on Day 6.
