The Great Barrier Reef is undisputed as one of the world’s most important natural assets. It is the largest natural feature on earth stretching more than 2,300km along the northeast coast of Australia. The best way to see the reef is by diving or snorkelling, although glass bottom boat trips are available for those less confident in water.  To truly discover the full diversity of this amazing ecosystem, we would recommend that you take a cruise such as the Coral Princess, a small boat visiting many islands and reef systems along the east coast. Alternatively, you could stay at the luxurious Lizard Island, one of the only islands where you can snorkel on the reef from the beach!
