Cradle Mountain is part of the Tasmanian World Heritage Wilderness and is known for its jagged dolomite peak, which dominates the end of the park. Its name supposedly derived from the mountains resemblance to a miner’s cradle and this dramatic scenery can be seen from a walk along the shores of Dove Lake, (weather permitting). The mountain is the perfect setting for pursing outdoor activities, from walking, horse riding, fly fishing or simply relax and enjoy some Spa treatments at the luxurious Cradle Mountain lodge. |
