Home to Australia’s second largest city ‘Melbourne’, renowned for its cosmopolitan lifestyle, World class sporting events and cultural attractions. The highlight of visiting this state has to be The Great Ocean Road, accessible from Melbourne and arguably one of the best coastal drives in Australia, where you will see amazing rock formations and quaint coastal towns en-route. West of Melbourne are the spectacular mountain ranges in the Grampians National Park, where you can enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities and a wealth of aboriginal rock art sites. Southeast of Melbourne is the Mornington Peninsula, where fertile hills roll down to iridescent beaches and you will find many tranquil harbours and serene bays. Animal lovers should not miss Phillip Island, Nature Park where you can expect to see furry penguins, seals, koalas and birds. As with most of the southern states, Victoria enjoys a mild climate with a slightly cooler winter from May to August. |
