Depart Alice Springs and travel through the vast outback stopping at a camel farm before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. This afternoon visit the Cultural Centre and Maruku Arts and Craft Cooperative before joining a guided walk to Mutitjulu waterhole, you'll see cave paintings and hear the legends of the Kuniya Tjukurpa (Python Dreaming). Take a tour of the base of Uluru before you are joined by a guide who will share his knowledge of the geology and flora of the region on the Mala Walk. Explore the Kantju Gorge then later on in the afternoon relax and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine as you watch the sun set at Uluru.
Rise early and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee at Uluru as the sun casts its first rays and the desert comes to life. With the sun still climbing, travel to the western section of the national park to tour the mystical domes of Kata Tjuta. Join a guided walk into Walpa Gorge and marvel at the sheer walls that flank you as you enter the gorge. Learn of the domes' formation and of the wildlife of the region. Some of the plants you will see are so rare that they are only found among these rocky domes. Transfer to Ayers Rock airport for flights after midday.
